Monday Musings: Nature Is

It's Monday again and you know what that means, a new insight into one of my poems! This week I am discussing my poem Nature Is.

Nature Is has a fairly simple meaning behind it which is that nature is everything good and bad. Nature just happens and you can't do anything to change it. This reflects my life with chronic illness, I was born with a genetic disorder (Ehlers Danlos Syndrome) and there is nothing I can do about it, this was the hand I was dealt. Even though I can't change the fact that I have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, I can try to focus on the good aspects of my life. Nature is everything, but you can choose which part of nature to take delight in, or conversely to fear. I choose to delight in it.

I hope you enjoyed reading my short explanation. Come back next week to learn the meaning behind A Child's Lament.

If you are interested in reading my poems you can find my book The Bright Side of Dark on www.amazon.com. Enjoy and as always feel free to comment or email me if you have any questions or musings of your own!
